Eskimo Promotes David Martinez to EP of West Coast Operations

Fresh off the heels of the launch of its Philadelphia office, creative production studio Eskimo has bolstered its West Coast operations with the promotion of David Martinez to the role of Executive Producer.

With over a decade’s worth of experience in production, beginning with his work in TV news to his transition into entertainment and branded content at the likes of cable network Reelz and production company Conscious Minds, Martinez has sharpened his skill set in the commercial space for the last year at Eskimo. According to the studio’s founder/director Terry Rayment, Martinez’s promotion brings a sense of equilibrium to the Eskimo equation. “David provides a balance at Eskimo that wasn’t there before,” Rayment says. “As an artist-driven company, there needs to be someone who can help implement realistic checks and balances, someone who has a creative state of mind but has also been in the production trenches. That someone is David.”

During his career, Martinez has not only helped produce campaigns for a variety of top-shelf brands including AT&T, PayPal, Red Bull and LG, but has perhaps most notably worked closely with Nike. He showcased his digital and social media prowess with the launch of the shoe/apparel giant’s Instagram channel as well as its Nike Women social networks.

Now, in his new leadership role as Eskimo’s West Coast executive producer, Martinez is excited about 2016 as he reinforces the studio’s 360-degree capabilities while representing its directors for the region. “Terry’s done an amazing job assembling this roster,” he says. “Our agency and brand partners have given us strong feedback on our nimble and soup-to-nuts capabilities, so I feel we have exactly the right blend of talent and creative direction to make 2016 a great year.”
