Little Minx Directing Duo Los Perez Breaks Free in Music Video for JR JR’s “Gone”

Los Perez, aka directing/creative duo Adrian Perez and Tania Verduzco of production company Little Minx, crafted an up-tempo, choreography-inspired music video that tells the visual story of “Gone,” from Detroit indie-pop band, JR JR on Warner Bros Records.

Juxtaposing sadness with glee, Los Perez puts our lower limbs on full display as they whimsically escape from their torsos and showcase a cavalcade of stellar dance routines. The directing duo explains, “We wanted to show how the body could become loose and release tension by dancing. The legs of our characters detach from their bodies to escape their boring routines and in the process they become free–they walk, they run, they twist and they dance.”

Shot with elements of Los Perez’ signature style, the “Gone” music video features a cast of compelling characters who each seek to escape from something. From the down clown at the dinner table, to the woman suffering from suburban malaise, to the teen tormented by slingshot-wielding bullies, Los Perez underscore the universal need to run away from life’s woes and bust a move in the process. The meticulously stylized choreography is perfectly aligned with this peppy guitar-led pop track.
