Star-Studded Branded Entertainment Studio GLORIA Launches
Founders and Executive Producers Diego Luna, Pablo Cruz and Eric Bonniot are proud to announce the formation of GLORIA, a multi-platform production studio specializing in branded entertainment.
The new production powerhouse launched with the signing of two of Mexico’s most talented commercial directors, Rodrigo Valdés and Rogelio Sikander of The Maestros. Valdés recently picked up a Cannes Lions Silver award for his directorial work on the spot “Jackpot” for AMIS/Mexican Insurance Association.
In addition to Diego Luna and The Maestros, GLORIA’s directorial roster also features award-winning writer/director Jonás Cuarón (Gravity), who just finished his latest feature, Desierto, starring Gael Garcia Bernal, Alonso Ruiz Palacios, whose feature Gueros debuted at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival, Mario Munoz (Bajo La Sal), and Fernando Frias.
Led by partners Luna, Cruz, and Exec Producer Eric Bonniot (Backyard Productions, A Band Apart), GLORIA is comprised of a team of legendary Latin American directors as well as rising new talent at the culmination of thirty years of storytelling expertise, agency relationships, and branding strategy. Their top-tier talent is celebrated in every medium, with work on projects spanning from Oscar-winning feature films to Cannes-winning commercials and acclaimed TV series. GLORIA’s roster of international filmmakers routinely crafts pieces for a portfolio of premier brands including Coca-Cola, Honda, Heineken, Sears, Pepsi, Converse, Volkswagen, Fiat, McDonald’s and many more.
With offices in LA and Mexico city, GLORIA’s eclectic mix of directors serves both Spanish and English markets. “We create sophisticated content for more than just the Latino community, but certainly with no shortage of Latin flair,” explains GLORIA partner Pablo Cruz. “GLORIA is perfectly equipped to tell the most imaginative stories in any format, for any brand.”
“The Latino community is hugely influential and we want work with brands to tell stories that are relevant and real” adds Luna. “We see Gloria as a place to collaborate with brands and connect with consumers in an authentic way.”
GLORIA’s upcoming projects include a feature-length branded documentary and they are currently in production on a six-part web series for Mexico’s largest department store chain. Partner/Executive Producer Eric Bonniot adds, “With GLORIA, we look forward to expanding our relationships with brands and agencies by collaborating on content with narratives that compel, engage, and most importantly connect with viewers in an entertaining way.”
GLORIA is represented by Siobhan McCafferty of Siobhan McCafferty & Associates on the West Coast, Janell Vircks at Representation for Media Makers in the Midwest and Alana Rothlein of Envision It Reps for the Hispanic market.
