Sid Lee NY Doubles Staff and Adds CD Colin Kim and Head of HR and Operations Jennifer Adler
Sid Lee is thrilled to announce a broad reaching expansion of their New York office that includes the addition of Creative Director Colin Kim, and Head of Human Resources and Operations Jennifer Adler to the team. The pair join the agency along with an influx of 18 additional hires, nearly doubling total head-count, accelerating Sid Lee’s efforts to transform clients’ brands and businesses across the consumer experience.
This expansion adds Account Directors, Designers, Technologists, Strategists, and Art Directors to service Sid Lee New York’s latest assignments for Absolut Vodka, Facebook, Intel, Merrell, TopShop, Samsung, and others. “These hires enable us to continue to build an industry leading account leadership, business strategy, and creative organization and will drive our efforts to transform client business,” indicates Managing Partner Lukas Derksen.
Newly acquired creative director Colin Kim is a seasoned creative with over 14 years of experience at some of the industry’s most celebrated ad agencies. His work for international brands has earned him awards from Cannes, One Show, D&AD, AICP, Clios, Communication Arts, Art Directors Club, Tomorrow Awards, Webby’s, SXSW, and LIA. In addition to Kim’s creative leadership, Sid Lee has grown their organizational and strategic capacity with new Head of HR and Operations Jennifer Adler. Adler is a highly intuitive manager whose analytical ability makes her an essential hire in Sid Lee’s journey to build the most transformative creative team in the New York market.
“We’ve been looking to build thought-leading talent in three key areas: design, progressive use of technology and storytelling,” Executive Creative Director Dan Brooks elaborates. “These additions represent best-in-class talent in those areas, and are a perfect example of our multidisciplinary model.”
Sid Lee’s expansion lands straight on the heels of several one-of-a-kind brand partnerships including Facebook’s Internet.org, the Samsung Galaxy S6 release “Next is Now,” and Absolut’s international party series #AbsolutNights.
