DNA Director Edgar Wright Creates a Bizarre Wonderland for Pharrell

DNA Director Edgar Wright creates a bizarre and captivating autumn wonderland in Pharrell Williams’s latest video for “Gust of Wind” (feat. Daft Punk).

In a forest of magnificent autumn foliage, a troop of dancers dressed in flowing robes complement Pharrell’s funky beat with fluid choreography while martial arts film-inspired aerial silk acrobats soar through the air. All the while, lurking in the background, giant boulders shaped like the iconic Daft Punk helmets transform into levitating light-up UFOs.

The video makes its debut after a string of successes in both the music video and commercial spheres for DNA. Their latest work includes Iggy Azalea’s VMA-nominated “Fancy” and “Black Widow,” and an entertaining ad campaign for DirecTV titled “Fantasy Football Fantasy,” all by Director X. They also recently created Usher’s heartfelt behind the scenes VMA promo video for Pepsi, directed by Christopher Sims.
