Rock Paper Scissors Cuts Stephen Colbert Super Bowl Spots for Wonderful Pistachios

Super Bowl viewers received a double dose of Steven Colbert in a hilarious pair of spots cut by Rock Paper Scissors Editor Stewart Reeves for Wonderful Pistachios. The two :15s work in tandem: the first, Super Bowl – Part 1 featuring a confident Colbert seated beside a bald eagle, explaining to the audience that this wonderful product ought to sell itself. The follow-up spot, Super Bowl – Part 2, airing 30 seconds later, transports viewers into the same room, this time garishly redecorated in Wonderful Pistachios’ trademark green, part of a branding onslaught that ends with the comedian splitting his head in half to reveal a pistachio head underneath.

“Super Bowl spots should be funny, novel and entertaining, and this one hits all those notes, with the inimitable Steven Colbert at its heart,” explains Reeves. “Between these spots and the other amazing Super Bowl spots my colleagues cut, RPS is reinforcing why we are a go-to edit house for even the most high-profile projects.”
