Save the Date: Big or Small Save Them All Musicfest Sept. 14
Join jumP, Poetica and Heard City (Team JumPetica) on Saturday, September 14th for an all-day music festival featuring Blues Hall of Famer Jerry Dugger and six other incredible bands. The Big or Small Save Them All Musicfest is the centerpiece of a mammoth fundraising effort by the 11-member team for October’s Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Admission to the event, which will run from 2 to 7:30 p.m. at LIC Bar in Long Island City Queens, is free but there is a suggested donation to the Avon Foundation of $39.30, and can be paid online or at the door. Each dollar represents every mile the team will be walking- 39.3 Miles. Raffle prizes will include Yankee tickets, Broadway show tickets, dinner gift cards, apparel, spa packages and much more.
Team JumPetica started this walk last year at the urging of a former staffer who developed breast cancer at a young age. She will walk with the group again this year, cancer-free, along with staff from Heard City who joined jumP and Poetica in their goal to make this an annual, industry-wide event.
