Rock Paper Scissors Goes Viral with Dove
Rock Paper Scissors Editor Paul Kumpata was recently tapped by Ogilvy Brazil to cut over half a dozen short films for the latest iteration of Dove’s ongoing “Real Beauty” campaign.
The new campaign brings seven real women together with Gil Zamora, an FBI-trained forensics artist. Without seeing any of the women’s faces, Zamora was commissioned creating two portraits of each woman – one based on a stranger’s description, and another based on the women’s own. The final result is one of the most affecting projects to come out of Dove’s Campaign for Real Beauty, a fact reflected in the new effort’s incredible virality. One Kumpata-edited film had earned over 3.5 million views on the Dove US YouTube page just three days after its initial uploading.
