Phoenix Produces Alicia Keys Interview for China’s Yang Lan

When Yang Lan One-on-One host Yang Lan came to New York to interview Alicia Keys for her enormously popular television program, she sought out Phoenix to guide the U.S. production from start to finish. The studio produced a stand-up in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen, where Alicia grew up, as well as a sit-down at the star’s studio, where she discussed everything from raising her son to female empowerment to her Grammy awards. Phoenix also handled logistical, equipment, and location challenges, as well as some post work.

“Yang Lan was a consummate professional. She came only with her personal producer and make-up artist, so we were entrusted to make sure everything else went smoothly,” remarked Phoenix founder and EP Chris Phoenix. “This project gave us an amazing opportunity to work with one of the most prominent television personalities in the world – someone who’s interviewed everyone from Nicole Kidman to Henry Kissinger.” This builds on Phoenix’s legacy of producing work for Chinese companies and also celebrity interviews, which have included Carolina Herrera, Gloria Seinem and Chris Matthews, among others.
