Pirate Takes A Ride With MitsubishiPirate New York, working with Smuggler and BBDO Toronto, constructed an original soundscape for Mitsubishi's 30-second spot "Invisible" for the 2010 Outlander. Set in an urban landscape populated by people and vehicles that are seemingly invisible, the viewer sees floating hats, handbags, headphones and jewelry while skateboards and bicycles fly along the streets. It's only when two pairs of glasses enter the open doors of the Mitsubishi Outlander that the driver and passengers materialize, sending the implicit message that other people and vehicles blend in and are invisible but the Mitsubishi Outlander in comparison STANDS OUT. Pirate's audio footprint perfectly complements the chic setting, ceaseless activity, and hip characters with a steady alternative rock beat accompanied by lyrics proclaiming that, "there are wonders we haven't seen yet," once again showcasing his ability to key even the shortest songs to a brand message.
