Nola's Chris Hartwill Wraps Ghost Machine

 

Nola Pictures' director Chris Hartwill, most recognized for his commercial campaigns for Dell, UPS and QNB is once again available to direct commercials after an extended hiatus while working on his feature film debut, Ghost Machine starring Luke Ford, Rachel Taylor and Sean Faris.

About Chris Hartwill:

Chris Hartwill is a known for his extensive preparation and consistent experimentation with various formats. He has a strong sense of lighting, composition, and broad knowledge of photography and VFX.

Hartwill has filmed on diverse locations around the globe. His feature film debut, Ghost Machine, is a thriller shot in Northern Ireland, starring Luke Ford, Rachel Taylor and Sean Faris. He also directed for Tony Scott's drama series, The Hunger: The Dream Sentinel, starring Eric Roberts. In 2006 and 2007, he directed episodes for the CBS hit series, Numb3rs.

Hartwill's commercial clients include Dell, Siemens, Audi, UPS, Nissan, Alltel, Ford, Cadillac, Peugeot, Jaguar, Shell, American Express, Haagen Dazs, Toyota, NSPCC (feat Michael Caine) and Levi's (feat Brad Pitt). His QNB spot was a Finalist in Visual Effects Design at the 2008 London International Awards.

Prior to joining Nola, Hartwill worked in the art department for Robert Altman's Buffalo Bill and the Indians. In college, he freelanced for the BBC as a camera assistant and as a PA for production and postproduction companies.

While working toward his bachelor of arts in photography and film, Hartwill wrote and directed The Cat, a promotional film that won a silver at Creative Circle for Best Newcomer. He is a brave of the Staley Tribe of the Blackfoot Nation.
