Crossroads Signs Pete Travis in UK, US
Crossroads has signed award-winning UK-based feature film and television director Pete Travis for representation in the US and the UK. Travis' feature films include the 2009 drama Endgame and the 2008 action/adventure sleeper sensation Vantage Point, which have allowed him to work with A-list actors creating high speed car chases and explosive action sequences in both large scale and more intimate settings. He has directed several multi-part TV series, including Henry VIII and The Jury for the Granada Network and Other People's Children for BBC.
"At Crossroads, we pride ourselves on being multidisciplinary, able to operate in the diverse worlds of production, from film to advertising and beyond, and we seek talent with those same diverse capabilities," noted Crossroads UK MD Carly Stone. "Pete has exactly that range of talent, with an unparalleled work ethic and imagination. We're really looking forward to working with him."
Among Travis' numerous awards are a BAFTA for Best Single Drama, a Discovery Award at the 2004 Toronto Film Festival, Best Film at the Irish Film and TV Awards and a VIFVF Best Feature all for television project OMAGH. Other awards include an International Emmy for Best TV Movie for Henry VIII and a Golden Trailer Award for Best Thriller with Vantage Point.
