When the hordes rolled into Midtown Manhattan to gander at the famous department store holiday windows, they may have done a double take at the entrance to Daffy's new Times Square location.

"We had to find an original way to talk about Daffy's, in an area of the city where competition for attention is high," says DeVito Verdi Creative Director Tyler DeAngelo. "We couldn't think of a better way to do that than to turn back the clocks and bring back the good old bad days of Times Square."
In a lewd throwback to the area's rough-and-tumble days as the global peep show capital, Click 3X designed a unique street-level window display for Devito/Verdi, and their client, Daffy's, that combines the novelty of interactive gadgetry with the power of live performance.
Passersby will encounter a velvet curtain that a hidden model will occasionally poke her head through. A gaudy neon sign hangs above. The curious can place their hand in a certain spot, which is connected to the sign, to launch a show. The model swaggers onto the stage and, as the sign above flashes, "Wanna see what 20 percent off looks like?" removes a portion of her clothes. As the percentage on the sign grows - 40, 60, 80 - more clothing items fly off, until the velvet curtain drops over them and the show ends with "Wanna see more? Come downstairs" flashing across the screen.
ClickFire Media handled the video shoot in full, as well as the development of the Flash application and a CMS. "Whether you're looking for live action, post, interactive, or a combination of all of the above and then some, you'll find it at Click 3X," stated Click 3X President Peter Corbett. "The Daffy's Christmas window is a perfect example of our creative and technical powers coming together full tilt and creating something slightly goofy, slightly sexy, and very entertaining and memorable."
The Times Square window follows a celebration of Daffy's 50th birthday that Click 3X worked on recently. Users could earn an invitation to the store's birthday bash by blowing out a virtual candle on the Daffy's Facebook page using their webcams and microphones.
