audioEngine Helps Meadowlands Make Super Bowl History
The Super Bowl is coming to the new Meadowlands Stadium in 2014, thanks in large part to a dramatic pitch video by the New Meadowlands Group, which enlisted audioEngine to handle all audio post, including sound design and mixing. The dramatic video, Then Vs. Now, is a gripping montage of black-and-white highlights of decades past and the NFL stars of today. A narrator compares the skills of the old-school ballers and the faster, stronger players of today, and states a convincing case for holding the Super Bowl in cold weather. audioEngine pro Dave Wolfe blended this narrative, a heroic Craig Snyder tune, the noises of the crowd, the voices of players and coaches, and the grunting, colliding violence on the field to complement the compelling footage.
The video ran at the recent NFL owners meeting in Dallas, where the group chose New York/New Jersey as the 2014 host for the biggest game on the league's calendar. The video ran simultaneously on the NFL network, as the league televised the meetings and voting process for the first time.
