Asylum Bursts Through a Wall to Save Money for Priceline Customers

Asylum working with @radical.media Director Steve Miller via Butler, Shine, and Stern, handled the post and FX for the latest in Priceline's well-regarded faux-superhero Priceline Negotiator campaign.

Evil Twin features a customer ecstatic to find a four-star hotel for $159. As a devious-looking man leans over the shopper's shoulder and encourages him to take the deal, the Priceline Negotiator - a benevolent twin of the evildoer - lasers his way through the living room wall and steps inside through a silhouette of himself. He boldly fends off the enabler, encouraging the customer to try Priceline, where, sure enough, he discovers a similar hotel room for only $79, a bargain so incredible that it drives the sinister money-waster to exit the room in an explosion of self-induced smoke.

Inferno artists, Bird and Brattesani handled both the appearing and disappearing acts, manufacturing the laser shots, falling wall, and artificial outdoor background as the Priceline Negotiator bursts into the room, and then contriving the puff of smoke and subsequent disappearance of the superhero's nemesis as he hastily exits.
